Sephora really knows how to part me with my money – I’ve said it many times before, but this time it got serious. I’m weak against all things beauty and Sephora knows it! The incredible Epic Rewards following the Beauty Insider Appreciation Promo (did you see the pictures of those full-sized rewards!?) was the biggest incentive for me to save up all my points, and dropped a whole lot of money afterwards.
Sephora recently hosted a customer appreciation event, whereby customers of Sephora’s loyalty program gets to earn double, triple, or quadruple the point depending on your beauty insider status. I haven’t bought anything from Sephora recently (okay, except for a tiny one a couple of months ago), but I figured this was a good time to repurchase some old favourites, and try something new from the Summer launches. It was just a matter of time before another Sephora haul happened!
As I’m re-reading this draft of the post before posting, I’m cringing at the thought of posting what equates to shoving my consumerism on the blog! However, I’m a pretty nosy person and I love reading other people’s haul posts, and these tends to be the most popular post so I hope it gives you some shopping inspiration!
DiorStar Foundation ($50, available here): I think I’ve written enough about this product but let it be said that as of now, I have 2 backup bottles – it’s seriously the best foundation I’ve ever used!
DiorDiorskin Nude BB Creme ($48, available here): I wanted to give this another try as I bought the incorrect shade the last time. I purchased #002 this time around since I’ve heard only good things about it – some said it’s the best complexion products they’ve tried, so considering how much I am loving the Dior Star, I figured this could be an awesome, lighter alternative.
Laura MercierSilk Creme Foundation ($58, available here): I only recently discovered that Laura Mercier had updated the formulation of their world-famous Silk Creme. I picked up the oil-free formula based on the recommendation of the brand rep, and a new colour as well which matches my NC25 skintone really well.
DiorGlow Maximizer ($43, available here): One of the classes during the VIB Rouge event was all about strobing which looks even better when you have the right brightening primer underneath to prevent over-doing the highlighting above the skin. This was one of the products showcased and I thought this kind of unique way of prepping your skin for strobing with minimal fuss.
Marc JacobsThe Nudeist ($35, available here): I saw this set online and immediately wanted to get my hand on this set. I purchased this mostly because of the pochette because I’ve been looking for a designer card holder wallet without spending too much and fortunately, this little pochette can fit 4+ cards comfortably and the eyeliner/lipstick were definitely a bonus!
YSLTouche Eclat Blur Primer ($55, available here): I’m always so excited about a good primer, and this immediately caught my eye when I had a quick makeover done at the YSL counter. I loved how light and amazing it smells on the skin! To be honest, it’s the little gold flecks that really sold me – “I got them gold on my face, betches!”
Becca x Jaclyn HillChampagne Pop Highlighter ($46, available here): I wasn’t really into rose gold highlighters as I much prefer light pink shade and the name of this colour is definitely misleading (nothing champagne-like about it!) however, hearing about this being sold out just about everywhere, convinced by the saleslady and all the blogger raves on social media, I was at the checkout with this before I even knew it. Fortunately the Sephora I went to had a new shipment at the Sephora – so you know, it was just meant to be.
ShiseidoUltra Protection Cream ($27, available here): You guys know how much I loved this sunscreen in a previous post, so I had to grab another one as I had just run out of mine.
I also went to the private shopping event hosted by Sephora where we had brand reps, demo’s, and little snacks and drinks throughout the night. Similar to last time, the event was well-organized and there was a good ratio of brand reps to the number of customers. Shown above is the bag of samples that we received as VIB Rouge (at the time of writing this post, it appears this bonus had run out) I always enjoy the little samples they add at the end of the event, and particularly the location I always go to, seem to add an extra touch! In addition to the sample bag, we got a Benefit Brow Bar service voucher to use at Brow Bar locations in Canada!
Now it’s your turn! What did you pick up during the Sephora Customer Appreciation Event? As always, I’d love to hear your thoughts! Share with me comment section or through Twitter or Instagram!
You got so many great things! Jealous because looks like Canada has much better samples
