If you’ve been following my blog for some time, you’ll know that I have a queer obsession with value sets, and Sephora’s very own Sephora Favourites remain to be one of my must-haves. Any time they bring a new set out, I’m already whipping out an Excel sheet to see whether it’s worth the buy or not.
You know the frustration when you read a blogger’s post on her favorite mascara (or other products) and you’re asking yourself, “Will it work for me?” Personally, I find trial and error is the best way to find what really works but that gets expensive really fast, especially with high-end beauty bits.
That’s when value sets come in – you get to try out many different formulas without committing to the full price. When you find what works for you, then you redeem the voucher included for the one!
I was slightly surprised to see a new mascara set to come out so soon since the last one, but I wasn’t going to complain. At first glance, there isn’t much difference between this and the last one. In fact, this set features three identical mascara from the previous set and two newer ones from Josie Maran and Tarte.
The Sephora Favorites LashStash To Go set includes the following:
As I already know which of these mascara’s I’ll be redeemed for, the other 3 are bonuses. If I end up liking them, then that would justify the purchase, if not, I’ve already redeemed for two favourites with 2 mini’s that I can take along for traveling.
I’m a huge fan of mascara mini’s and I have a drawer full of them. Each of them lasts me about a month, so each set (excluding what I’ll be redeeming) is 5 months’ worth of mascara! I already know which mascara I’ll be redeeming this time around and will repurchase a second set so I can redeem it for another favorite.
There doesn’t seem to be an expiry date on the voucher, so I’d wager you could wait a couple of months before redeeming it. Just make sure that you don’t forget to redeem it!
As with any value set, this is a great way to sample and try out new formulas or best-sellers without having to go buy the full-size. These value sets tend to sell out fast and are only available during certain times of the year, so it’s probably best to buy now and think later!
Now it’s your turn! Have you tried Sephora Favorites Lashstash To Go set? Is anyone of these mascara sets a favorite of yours? Would you purchase the set? As always, I’d love to hear your thoughts!
I keep telling myself that I’ve sworn off mascara because I can’t remember using one that didn’t smudge to my lower lid, but every time I see a mascara value set my resolve wavers. I’ve been dying to try some of the mascaras in this set though!

I love getting deluxe-sized products in a set. Best way to try a few brands before deciding whether they are worth buying full-sized or not. I don’t have much luck in trying out a new mascara. I can only wear waterproof ones as they are the only ones that would hold my curls.
