Despite being a beauty blogger, I am not a nail polish addict. In fact, it is the one “beauty” routine I regularly ignore simply because I just cannot be bothered. I hate waiting for the nail polish to dry and especially when it start chipping after a day or two.
I hate having to touch up my nails every couple of days and the smell can be overwhelming when used on a regular basis. It takes a very special formula and excellent product to sway me from my policy of no nail polish.
That special formula comes in the form of the perfect French manicure pink, the Guerlain La Lacque Couleur in Baby Rose ($29, Guerlain Boutiques).
The colour is not unique or un-dupeable as I am sure that regular drugstore lines carry similar shades. The reason this was featured is simply because the formula is one of the best I’ve come across and certainly goes beyond my standards for when it comes to long-lasting nail polish that looks great, wears well and looks flattering on my skin.
I’m a huge fan of this rounded tapered applicator. It applies the colour evenly without any streaking. One coat gets you that barely there glossy French manicure finish. A second coat transforms your nails to a work/church/school appropriate baby pink shade. The polish dries quickly, and has a glossy finish which means you can skip the top coat process should you wish to.
This shade is a great staple to have handy for any occasions. Very versatile and all-occasion appropriate!
Now it’s your turn! What’s your favourite baby pink French manicure shade? As always, I’d love to hear your thoughts! Share with me comment section or through Twitter or Instagram!
