Beyond the absurdity that we are already 8 months into the year and I’ll be celebrating my birthday way too soon (these stairs aren’t getting any easier to climb!) I figured it was time to do another round up of favourites. I’m positively rubbish (yes, I like to pretend I’m British once in a while!) when it comes to keeping up series, but there’s just been so many products that I’ve been loving lately so I figured I’d do a quick round up. There’s just plenty to love and not everything is about makeup too! Curious what made this list this month? Well, Here we go!
I’ve discovered the beauty of self-tanning at home, using the one and only BiodermaPhotoderm Autobronzant ($19.95, Shoppers Drug Mart). This spray tan magic is so easy to use and work with that even beginners, and first-timers like me can still use it without turning it into a hair-ripping, I-turned-a-weird-orange-shade story. For an all-over, even-looking tan that looks like you’re on a perma-vacation, give this a try!
I’ve been religiously using the DiorOne Essential Skin Detoxifying Serum ($125, available here) because sweating it out in kickboxing class with a full-face of makeup on is just, no and I’m too high-maintenance to take it off before. This bottle of divine serum is eye-wateringly expensive but does live up to its hype. Skincare is a very subjective thing so I highly recommend getting a sample of this at Sephora before splurging on it!
Don’t judge me because of my favourites this month is a toothpaste, but because of Marvis’Whitening Mint Toothpaste ($10.50-13.50, available here), I have ditched all drugstore brand toothpastes because they are full of chemicals and half the time, I feel like they burn the tounge! Marvis’ Whitening Mint Toothpaste does an amazing job at cleaning the mouth, and glamorizes an otherwise boring routine. Once you’re done, you’re left feeling like you just left the dentist’s office. I stock up on this when I’m in Paris, and whenever I’m out of it, I immediately order a bunch from Obsessed Canada.
No summer favourites can be complete without bright new colours, and the two that just landed at my doorstep and adds a punch to my otherwise 5-product makeup routine are the Make Up For EverAqua Matic #D-21 ($23, available here) and the Aqua Rouge in #23 ($29, available here). Can I just say that I’ve been wearing far the Aqua Matic #D-21 too often this summer. You can’t even recognize me without it ???? And the Aqua Rouge in #23, which, I can’t even – is because this is the perfect everyday colour for me. So. Much. Love.
When Sephora launched the Marc JacobsMod Noir ($80, available here), I thought to myself, “Just another designer fragrance,” and thought it wasn’t even worth checking out. It wasn’t until I went back to Sephora again with my sister and a saleslady gave us each a sample of it. Long story short, I’ve just been loving it, and I think I might wait until the next fragrance points event at Sephora to get the full-size.
I have to admit, that I went ahead and made an impulse purchase at Michael Kors 15 minutes before they closed. They had a whole bunch of items on sale including the Michael KorsSelma Large Bag ($376, available here) – remember when that bag was all the rage? It was the “it” bad and remains to be one of their most popular models. I was in the market for a bag, and I didn’t want to be lugging my PradaSaffiano Tote ($2,500, available here) to work. What got me was that the bag was just sitting there and it was the right size (Large) and the right colour. It happens so rarely and I spent around 10 minutes hem and hawing over it mostly because I also saw the Hamilton bag ($395, available here) in the same colour.
Now it’s your turn! What’s currently on your favourites list? As always, I’d love to hear your thoughts! Share with me comment section or through Twitter or Instagram!
I don’t judge. Toothpaste is amazing, especailly after 4 cups of coffee and you are going out. ????

I have yet to try the MAKEUPFOREVER Aqua Matic but now I really want it! I am still in love with the Prada Saffiano bag after so long but I can’t justify spending that much money! Love the colour of your MK bag btw!
Nice picks! You’re tempting me with that serum as I’m sweating through my makeup at yoga all the time! ????
The Marvis toothpaste sounds wonderful! I’ve been looking for a new toothpaste to try out since I’m getting tired of my current one.
I always see that toothpaste on Instagram! It looks so fancy lol. Good to hear it actually works well too!
The Dior Serum is such a splurge but looks lovely! I’ve never tried anything from their skincare range.
