It’s been ages since I last bought a new eyeshadow or an eyeshadow palette. I’ve rarely worn eyeshadows on a daily basis anymore so I stopped shopping around, and mostly sold away my old MAC eyeshadow collection. I’ve only kept a handful palettes and eyeshadows since like the Lorac Pro Palette, some Makeup Geek Eyeshadows, and a few MAC which I’m slowly re-building!
A few years ago, MAC took a price decrease on their eyeshadow pro pan range so they are an affordable $8 a piece. I picked up a few more eyeshadows to try out in my MAC Select Haul with a 25% off – they were $6 apiece which I couldn’t resist!
I figured I would sit down and share a few swatches of my MAC Eyeshadow Collection. I wanted to do this because I have the tendency of repurchasing similar colours by accident – this is a way for me to keep track of all the colours that I have and help you out in case you are doing some eyeshadow shopping!
These eyeshadows are swatched on a light-medium skintone (approximately MAC NC20-25) with no eyeshadow base. I store my pro pan (or depotted pans) in a MAC palette which you can purchase for $10. The inserts are around $2 each if I recall and these also fit Makeup Geek eyeshadows if you have some of those as well.
I prefer sticking with neutral colours as you can see in the colours I have above. They are complemented by some bold shares in my Make Up For Ever Artist Shadow and Makeup Geek eyeshadow collection which I will share soon!
I hope these will help you build your own MAC eyeshadow collection! Let me know what colours are your favourites!
