My favourite thing about holiday shopping is the variety of value gift sets that you can split and share or keep for yourself. And because they are value sets, they are jam-packed with goodies at a fraction of the price you would normally pay for them. Seeing the DermalogicaThe Ultimate Cleanse & Glow Trio ($122, sephora.ca) go on sale over at Sephora made this deal even that much better and because I love saving, I opted to use my Sephora Rouge discount to knock off $25 off the sale price. Talk about a huge win-win on this purchase!
Dermalogica is a brand that’s slowly growing in my collection – having tried and quickly become obsessed with the Daily Microexfoliant ($80, available here), I was keen to grow my collection. I’ve been fortunate to try a few Dermalogica products over the last few years but it doesn’t hurt to add more especially when you get to save in the process!
The limited edition DermalogicaThe Ultimate Cleanse & Glow Trio appears to be a Sephora exclusive that includes 3 full-sized items. Retailing for $122, it can be quite an expensive one to swallow, but grab it while it’s still live on the Sale section online and use your holiday discount/gift cards towards it, and suddenly, it’s not that bad. Combining my discounts, I ended up paying roughly ~$20 a piece which is a pretty good deal when you consider how expensive drugstore skincare have gotten and the fact that $20 is a fraction of the actual retail price of these goodies.
As previously mentioned, this set comes with 3 full-sized products. These are holy grail “cult” products from the brand meant to exfoliate, and deep clean your skin. In this set, we’ve got:
- Dermalogica Preleanse 150ml ($62, available here) – a deep-cleansing, oil-based makeup remover
- Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel 250ml ($54, available here) – gel-based cleanser
- Dermalogica Daily Microexfoliant 74g ($80, available here) – a rice-based exfoliating powder
I got to try all 3 products during my Sephora & Dermalogica ProSkin30 Facebar Experience so this purchase is all about stocking up on my favourite items.
My favourite item in this whole set has got to be the Microexfoliant. I’m not one to usually exfoliate my skin, but this has really upped the game – the rice powder-based exfoliator is much gentler on the skin and I haven’t broken out from using this on a regular basis. Since I’ve been training with F45 quite regularly, this exfoliator has been a lifesaver – it really unclogs my pores and makes my skin feel a lot fresher.
I’ll have to admit that I’m not the biggest fan of oil-based makeup remover, or anything really. So we’ll have to see how I get along with this product – I remembered liking it enough during my treatment but we’ll see how things go with a full bottle.
If you’re keen on trying out Dermalogica products but not spending such a huge amount of money on it, they have one of their smaller value sets currently on sale for $30. While the product sizes are equally smaller, they are worth trying out if you don’t know if the brand is for you or not!
Have you tried Dermalogica before? Do you have any favourite products from the brand?
