Picking up bits of treats on a Friday afternoon after 60+ hours work week is my idea of starting the weekend right. I popped by a local mall on the way home from work, having decided that shopping therapy is going to cost me much less than stress therapy.
The first stop had to be a place where it’s all about pampering and for me, that’s Lush! I decided to pick up only two items and received a few samples to try out, which is always the best part of shopping there! You could always ask for a sample and they are always more than willing to make you one.
I wanted to pick up another FUN Bar ($6.95, available here) a playdoh-looking product popular for its 4-in-1 use and the fact that, yes, it is reminiscent of childhood creations. It comes in several scents, and I’ve tried 2 of the 5 scents so far and have loved each and every one of them. I love using this as a bubble bar as you get just as much bubbles as my favourite The Comforter, but at a much cheaper price. You can also use this as a shower gel, shampoo/conditioner and bubble bath. I always buy this when I’m at Lush because a portion of the proceed goes to a fund that supports victims of Japan’s Fukushima nuclear disaster by providing children with a safe and fun area to play in. Anyways, I’ve tried the orange citrus one and that smells equally as good!
I had four black tubs ready for their recycling program, but unfortunately, I needed one more to be eligible. I was at the checkout, thinking that I was going to splurge on the Charity Pot, but ended up leaving the store with Cup o’ Coffee ($10.95, available here) instead because I’m a sucker for anything with coffee in it. Remember the Jealous Body Scrub review I did? I pretty much ration it out so I can get more uses out of it seeing now that I’m running on less than half of the packet!
Before leaving Lush, I wanted to make sure I knew what I was going to pick up the next time I came in. I noticed two new face masks mostly because of their very colour: Rosy Cheeks ($12.95, available here) which I am heavily leaning towards and Don’t Look At Me ($10.95, available here). Both masks are definitely more pricey than their counterparts, while still weighing the same.
I got lazy and forgot to photograph my last purchase, but it is because I’m a little embarrassed that I’m buying sandals at the end of the summer season! Then again I’m a sucker for anything on sale. Well, for $12 a pair, and because they are so darn comfortable too, I couldn’t resist picking up another pair of the American Eagle OutfittersCrochet Sandals ($12.98). Nothing remotely close to being crochet, but it is so darn comfortable in to walk around all day!
Now it’s your turn! What have you purchased recently? As always, I’d love to hear your thoughts! Share with me comment section or through Twitter or Instagram!
