One of the most exciting limited edition set for the Estée Lauder Breast Cancer Awareness Research is yet another one of the Evelyn Lauder and Elizabeth Hurley collaboration, this time, featuring three Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipstick. Estée Lauder Companies and its subsidiary brands has always been a strong advocate and supporter of Breast Cancer Research so it is even more enticing to splurge knowing that 20% of each sale goes towards an important cause.
I used to think that Estée Lauder is a brand more suitable for my mom – afterall the brand is more well-known for its skincare more than its makeup range. Trying the new Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipstick from the set though ($38, available here), changed my mind. This gorgeous, limited-edition pink set includes three mini Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipstick and a chic cross-body pouch.
When I first tried on the lipstick, I was immediately taken aback by how smooth, and creamy it was. They were, simply put, a dream to apply – pigmented, and felt nourishing on the lips. The three colours wear so well and looks flattering on my NC25-30 skintone, and I’m certain these would look flattering on a wide variety of skintones as well. The nourishing ingredients meant that my lips looked plump and hydrated throughout the day.
Rebelious Rose is a little bit out of my comfort zone given my preference for very neutral lip colour, but paired with the right kind of makeup and outfit, this can easily be a statement shade.
Powerful – just like the name implies, is a #GirlBoss kind of colour – for the woman who isn’t afraid of rocking up her femininity in the board room. A fantastic colour that is out my comfort zone but one I am willing to keep trying regardless.
Tumultuous Pink is not so much a unique colour, but how it applies made me think twice. On the arm swatch, this looks like your regular dusty rose lip colour, but once applied on top of my already quite pigmented lips, this took on a more red hue. Still quite flattering though something I’d tone down for everyday.
Available at The Bay and Holt Renfrew, this is an excellent set to pick up if you have been curious about the Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipstick range and wand to try them out while supporting a great cause.
