Review | Too Faced All I Want for Christmas.

The Too Faced All I Want for Christmas ($54, sephora.ca) is a 6-piece full face collection that features the best of Too Faced’s makeup products. Released just in time for the holidays, I knew this set was going to be mine as soon as I saw pictures of it and the items that are included in this set. For $54, you are getting 6 of Too Faced’s best sellers products and value of the bag is estimated at $125. This set is definitely a perfect gift for bargain hunters and value-conscious shoppers or for those of you curious to try Too Faced’s product line.

Housed in a makeup bag with a very festive aqua/gold chevron theme, the bag alone hits all the right notes when it comes to packaging for holiday gift sets. The bag was designed by celebrity decorator and TV personality Mary McDonald and I absolutely love how festive this bag feels without any of the red/green theme we normally associate with the Christmas holiday.

I was really intrigued by this palette because it happens to contain 3 full-sized products that makes this set to be a valuable holiday gift set. The shadow primer was a favourite of mine that I’d forgotten about, and when I saw swatches of the lipstick (an MLBB color), I knew that I had to have it, since Believe is a color that is definitely very autumn-like.

Too Faced All I Want for Christmas Set Includes:

  • 0.28 oz Exclusive Blush/Eye Shadow Trio Compact: Matte Vanilla, Dark Brown, Blush** (2 x 0.07oz eyeshadows, 1 x 0.14oz blush)
  • 0.11 oz La Crème Lip Cream in Believe – Exclusive shade** ($25, available here)
  • 0.03 oz Perfect Eyes Eye Liner in Perfect Black ($23, available here)
  • 0.25 oz Lash Injection Mascara ($28, available here)
  • 0.35 oz Shadow Insurance** ($24, sephora.ca)
  • Cosmetic pouch

All full-sized items are denoted by two asterisks (**)

The set covers all the bases for your holiday makeup look, or even to simply throw into your bag for a night out. The compact comes with two basic eyeshadows (Matte Vanilla, Dark Brown), and the blush looks great on most skin tones. I am not too familiar with most of Too Faced’s makeup products except for the eyeshadow primer and brow products, but the palette delivers quality! The eyeshadows, while very basic, makes for the perfect day-to-night, and 9-to-9 makeup. The matte shades were as pigmented as I could hope for, and I find the dark brown work for my brows and bronzing (very lightly of course!) as well. The peachy pink blush has gold flecks that makes my skin look luminous in the right ways. The shade is perfect to wear all-year round, and it looks appropriate for a day or night look. Aside from the quality, the compact is very functional for gals on the go, especially for those parties you need to get to!

The bag is very well-made; the aqua/gold theme works really well and is small enough to slip into your purse to carry all your makeup needs for the day or night. The lipstick, La Creme in Believe ($25, sephora.ca), is a lovely rosy-red berry-ish shade which looks lovely on my skintone. As I mentioned, this shade looks very MLBB on my NC25-30 skintone. Unfortunately, this shade is exclusive to this set at this time.

The Shadow Insurance ($24, sephora.ca) is a cult product that has been a favourite of many for many years. It took me forever to finish my first tube and I love how sanitary the tube is. As for the waterproof eye pencil, it is one of the richest and creamiest black shade I’ve come across and does not smudge or give me the panda eyes. I haven’t tried any of the mascara before so I’m excited to give this a go.

Summary

I am very happy with my purchase and am thinking of getting a backup already! This set would be perfect for those who are looking to try out more of Too Faced’s product line, and of course, the bargain hunters! The value of this bag alone should be enticing enough but the product selection in this set makes the entire set absolutely worth the purchase. The set covers all the bases for your holiday makeup look, or even to simply throw into your bag for a night out. The eyeshadows, while very basic, makes for the perfect day-to-night, and 9-to-9 makeup.
