Hello friends! I know it’s a bit late to be posting this and now that the sweater weather is almost upon us, this post may seem a bit irrelevant. But, I’m not the one to waste an opportunity to celebrate the last hurrah of the summer season so here it is!
It’s almost hard to believe that weeks ago, it was just the last weeks of the summer. I’m not actually the biggest fan of the summer months, preferring the sweater weather and cold winter instead. But who can resist patio, the beach, cocktails and all – you get the idea! I know I’m practically in the minority on this, so here’s a quick recap of what I’ve been up to!
My friends wanted to meet for lunch and suggested Terroni on Queen Street. Of course we had to pop by the new Aesop store that just opened on same street afterwards. We realized that the day was too beautiful to simply ignore for the rest of the day, we decided to also have a spot of dessert on the best place to have macarons in Toronto, Nadege Patisserie. Of course, walking around downtown Toronto meant eating street food and we found this delicious place that served up the best Belgian waffles served with oodles Nutella and vanilla ice cream.
One of my resolutions for the summer is to get out more and do more outdoor activities and stand up paddleboarding was the first on my list of things to do! I did it twice, once on the Humber River and the other in Lake Ontario, both were such an experience! Highly suggest to try it next summer if you haven’t tried it this year! For beginners, try doing it in a river at first as the water is less likely to be too cold or wavy (making staying afloat a bit more challenging)! I’m pretty thrilled that I didn’t fall once in the river, and only fell in the lake because I saw a dead fish and lost my concentration (UNPLEASANT!)
One of my favourite treats from a recent press event was meeting Jamie Chung who is one of the two faces of the Be Bold. Be Beautiful. Be You. campaign. I was a bit star-struck (she’s so pretty and sweet) but got to take some awesome pictures with the lovely lady and had a signed mirror to take home as a souvenir!
Now it’s your turn! What have you been up to recently!?
