It is so hard to believe that we are entering the third month of the year! I am always very excited about the prospect of Spring, and this means we are one month closer to it! I do hope that the colder weather will stick around for a few more weeks though – every time I think about how oddly warm these past few winters have been, I hate to think how much damage we’ve incurred on this beautiful planet (of which, we only have one of!)
This month was about skincare and sharing my 2016 travel lessons. I talked about how I dove right into the world of K-Beauty with the best-selling moisturizer from Belif at the US Sephora. I also shared some of my Valentine’s Day makeup favourites for a makeup look that will last all day (Even if it’s not Valentine’s Day!) I don’t indulge myself too often so I talked about how I spoiled myself for V-Day!
I love the MAC Cosmetics have been coming out with awesome value sets lately, so I had to pick up the MAC Stripped Naked Lip Kit inspired by Kylie Jenner’s Lip Kit duo’s! I must say, I hope MAC keeps coming out with value sets – I am a sucker for these! I also rounded up a few of my favourite makeup picks for beating dull winter skin!
There are tons of new launches that I got to test out at events or at home. For those who love vegan, cruelty-makeup on a budget, the Wet n Wild range should be on your radar! I reviewed the Wet n Wild Photo Focus Concealer earlier this year. I also got to test out the new Bite Beauty Lip Pencils thanks to Influenster. As part of this package, I tested out the new Amuse Bouche range and it was love at first swipe! From the department store, Clarins was one of the first to release their Spring makeup lineup. Aptly called the Contouring Perfection, a few new products have made it to my everyday rotation!
I promised to start talking about some of my trips in greater details so I recently wrapped up my Iceland travel series from Snaefelsness. Three days after I came home from Iceland, I packed my bags to fly to sunny Greece (Athens and Santorini). Whilst in Santorini, I stayed in Fira / Thira, the busy bustling heart of the island and shared a few of my favourite things from that experience! For those who love pictures, maybe this post will inspire you to travel to Greece next!
Having received a number of emails, tweets and texts about my travels, I decided to share one of my best-kept secrets over on this blog post! There’s an awesome freebie if you made it all the way to the very end! I had great feedback from my first travel report that summarized my 2016 travels, so I decided to put one together for 2015, albeit two years late!
Last but not least, I share my favourite budget hotel spot in Manhattan, New York, which is not known to be a budget-friendly destination. Let me know if you end up there!
